Don't worry, I have a book

Me, my thoughts and my life

All Kinds

on August 12, 2013

Originally I was going to write a post about my beach day on Saturday but then as I was checking my social media feeds I saw that Miranda Lambert just released the official music video for her new single “All Kinds of Kind.”  So, beach day is on hold till tomorrow.

I first heard this song a few weeks ago on SiriusXM The Highway and fell in love.  It is a wonderful reminder that to make the world work all types of people are needed.  I think it is also a good reminder that what you see on the surface isn’t the whole story.  Everyone has things in their lives that they either are not ready to share, are embarrassed about or just need to keep to themselves.

Songs like this is why Country Music is my favorite genre.  Most country songs tell real stories and are relevant to lots of people.  The songs are not just about silly things like shoes or jewelry or sex, every other word is not profanity and you can understand the words.  Yes, some country songs are about these things and some country songs use profanity but not the majority.  I also like that most country artists are real people.  They don’t put on an act or airs of superiority.

Mostly I just like that country songs have good beats and I can relate to them.
